"Pokusa," a Polish word meaning "temptation," is often associated with delicious food. It aptly describes a restaurant offering fusion cuisine and specializing in cocktails. The establishment required a logo and visual identity that reflected the owner's vision: modern fusion dishes, a welcoming and warm atmosphere, high-quality local ingredients, and visually stunning, tempting flavors in both food and cocktails. It was important that the logo functioned well as a neon sign and had a symbol that could be used on small surfaces and as a decorative element.
In designing the logo, I created a brand mark that is seamlessly integrated into the typography. When used on its own, the brand mark evokes imagery of pot or saucepan, or the side profile of a face with a closed eye, suggesting the act of savoring flavors. The lettering was carefully chosen with the right thickness to ensure it could easily be adapted into neon signage. The brand's color palette was thoughtfully curated to align with the flavors and dishes offered by the restaurant. It features "tasty" tones, including muted greens, beige, pastel peach, and a bold red accent.
These colors also serve a functional purpose, differentiating between various menu sections, such as the general menu, drink menu, and breakfast options. For the typography, I selected two distinct fonts for the headers: a script font for a friendly, inviting feel, and a contrasting font to add a sense of sophistication. This combination harmonizes with the cozy interior of the restaurant, creating a visual identity that is both welcoming and refined.
