Challenge

An element that harmonizes the display font with the overall profile and reflects our philosophy through its form.

When designing a graphic profile for Picapoint, I felt there was a missing element that could connect the highlighted texts, written in a display font, with the rest of the profile. I wanted something that would create a sense of harmony, making the text not only a decorative element but also a reflection of our philosophy through its form.

Solution

PP Glitch Display font as a complement Mencken in Picapoint's profile, used as replacement of certain letters.

As a complement to the Mencken font in Picapoint's graphic profile, I designed the PP Glitch Display font. Individual letters in headings written with Mencken are replaced by our custom font. By adding a font styled to resemble a glitch, we emphasize the spirit of Picapoint: We are not perfect or machines. We are individuals with feelings, interpretations, and thoughts. In a landscape where automation and artificial intelligence are becoming increasingly consolidated, focusing on human capital in the digital world is more important than ever. There is still time to design machines, and such elements can influence our emotional approach to visual expressions. The font symbolizes the celebration of our cognitive abilities as the key component in delivering the best and most exciting solutions.
